Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford's new motto: give nothing, take everything

With the attrition as high as it is, now the management wants us to work twice as hard/long but they don't want to pay us more. Ford seems willing to spend money on everything under the sun except on employees. That's taking things a step too far. It would be funny if it wasn't so messed up.

It's not worth it to wait forever. You might have to take the leap of faith and leave the company before they burn you through. It likely means to leave Michigan as well. They save whatever money they can from compensation and put it towards their (gender?) transformation. At this point, they pretty much only hire directly out of school and these folks start within the 70k. They d-mbed down job roles to make it work.

If you feel you compensation is not competive, get another job. If you are not willing or able to leave, your current wage are what you are worth.

Wow, you just realized this? It's been called "casual overtime" for the past over two decades. Work all you want w/o any extra compensation!

Then watch as Ford buys a train station and tears down all the buildings on campus. If anyone ever returns to the office after the work from home ends, you will no longer have a dedicated office, just a daily work area if you can find one.

No backfilling. But it all still has to get done. This is called squeezing water from a rock.

At some point things are going to start failing and not getting complete. And management will only have themselves to blame.
