Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Just get it done

Having layoffs every month feels like a particularly cruel type of torture. Why can't they have all the layoffs at once? Take two or three weeks to get it done, but get it done. Having to worry about more cuts month after month after month is messing with my mental health. I envy those who can just quit, but I can't, which makes this even harder. How long do they expect us to be able to take this and still be able to function?

they are not done. They want you to think they are,(and maybe not even that) but once they are done those that remain will receive an email and/or talk something like that to explain things, why it was so hard for them to do what they did, that has not happened. The talk from management is about pushing forward focus on being productive that sort of thing stay focused dont look around.

Because they need ya until they don’t need ya dummy. They will let you go when it’s best for their schedule. They don’t care about your “mental health”.

They are currently training the replacements. After they are situated that will be it for the rest.

Hang in there for the severance. I was let go and three days later I was hired somewhere else for the same amount of money but with potential to make more. And I know not everyone has the same experience, luck or whatever contributing factor there might be.

Best of luck in your decision, and I hope PayPal knocks it off.
