What an amazingly well thought out plan. Taking away the ability to use these unless you have use ALL your pto is a great move for employee moral. Thanks Verizon!

They want to get as much PTO off the balance sheet as they can before layoffs.
What they were going to do starting in July is you can flex but if there is time off hours available you have to take the time off instead of flexing and if you have PTO that's pre-planned like let's say around the holidays you would have to use your paid time off even if it was pre-planned if there were hours available. If there are no hours available in the bucket for that day and you are completely out of PTO then you can flex.
They know a mass amount of people are gonna quit if they do it.
Looks like enough people got mad that they paused it for now but this is def their way of making people either quit or use all their time and get fired.
Get back to work! Stop abusing company's leave policies! (Layoff.com, why do keep deleting this message?)
Frankly surprised we have any one taking the calls from the United States let alone Corp employees. Seems like every time that I call it's "Mary" in the Philippines. If this is true, major blow to our phone friends. Flex time was a pretty sweet perk. Do they want you to go insane and/or quit? Likely.
Any facts to back this up? Haven’t heard about this yet.
Grab some popcorn and get ready to watch this place implode.
Wait what elaborate they won’t let you do what?
