Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

More layoffs and job eliminations coming

All other business lines have them coming soon this month. It’s going to be disgusting how many are let go. I know of entire groups/depts that are going to be impacted hard. Saving a buck at the expense of all the hard working people keeping this place afloat. Made it 5 years here with US Bank and looks like I am done for

This happened to me 2.5 years ago after 32 years with US BANK. They are heartless! Some things never change…it was company wide then too! Good Luck59

The cuts this week in Business Banking we’re on Monday. They had a call at 3 in the afternoon and announced job eliminations. They were told there would be no questions and to keep it quiet for now. The call lasted about 5 minutes and cold. So those on this feed saying people are causing drama no they are telling you what is happening because of personal experience.

Well it looks like it was reliable information. Do you have more information about the next phase?

Do you all know if business banking credit teams (underwriting) will have any layoffs?

There have been layoffs in Commercial Banking portfolio management and business banking on the RM side. Also a few in Government Banking. My understanding is some of the Portfolio Managers being let go is due to cost savings promised with the transition to nCino.

It’s true. Our business line is letting go of people next week. It’s unsettling and makes me sick. I’m just disgusted at this point.

Little do people know layoffs have been happening for years but in waves and at low enough levels to not make the news or become known to those outside the org. My org has had multiple small cuts over the years.

Lending with mortgage in particular has been hit hard by layoffs as part of industry wide cuts but I’m sure smaller layoffs will be continuing business as usual

Unfortunately it is facts. There are going to be substantial cuts to numerous business lines before month end. Major cuts were made this week across the company and as soon as this phase of EOF is done at the end of the week the next phase and announcements with immediate impacts will begin.

Causing drama because they do not know anything and want others to panic. Give facts or get off.

Is this your assumption or is it a fact? And if it’s a fact how do you know
