Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

All the money went to marketing…..

It seems all the money went to marketing and there is a huge disconnect between what marketing says and what bbt can actually deliver….their first slogan of being a technology driven bank was the same week they came and ripped out all our equipment because it was to new to run on their servers…..

Omg. The marketing is just embarrassing. It started with the new name, logo, and their horrible commercials. It is throwing money down the drain.

I don’t think Truist marketing is merely bad, it borders on offensive. Mergers are difficult and there are always layoffs. But to treat employees so horrifically, and then tout a tagline “when you start with care, you create a different kind of bank” - is a cruel joke. People and communities have taken note, and I hear about three or four bad comments about Truist to every positive one.

Or, how about the tagline they use in written communications: “Truist is a purpose driven organization….”. That one might actually be true, as I have seen real purpose from this executive team to profit at the direct expense of their employees…
