Fortunately, I didn’t have the experience of a manager sabotaging my work, but I’ve heard from a few people that they did just that to them. Supposedly, their competence was a trigger point for managers to sabotage them in some way. Has anyone here had such an experience? Purely out of curiosity - what tricks did they use to sabotage you?

You have legal rights with gas lighting
Go to: Ohio tiger.com
Law firm that has several articles on their site Re: gaslighting
One VP comes to mind that checks all the boxes for this behavior/Mgmt style
SEC needs to know that he does this
Oracle needs to be fined for his behavior and any others that practice
this sic behavior.
For years, many competent hardworking employees at Oracle were layed-off so that the corrupt vPs like the PD VP that filed the fraudulent patent by not listing original inventor), would not have to worry about getting caught). Things have changed. We can now do our own research and find out, truth.
We might not be able to get ALL of the corrupt VPs, at this time however, we do believe that we can get the one VP.
It has been predicted that, he will tell on the others so that should help.
Hopefully we can make a difference and those that have been wronged by these VPs can get the closure that they need from being robbed of their work.
Hopefully, the feds will lock them up and throw away the key!
You should definitely get those vps! I want nothing to do with them. They are all yours. Should be interesting to watch what happens.
Laying off people that do not &/or incapable of doing their job is understandable. Managers. VPs that abuse and setup up competent hardworking people to be layed off, taking credit for work of subordinates, & filing fraudulent patents is a felony.
Wonder how many fraudulent patents were filed.
SEC is needs to investigate managers & VPs for ethics violations, as well as other fraud. Document signatures is proof.
It wouid be interesting to see which VPs are guilty of financial misconduct, which have misappropriation payroll funds by giving themselves the lions share of pay raises and bonuses .
Lack of Accountability and not following internal control procedures could reveal much. VP signatures on documents need to be examined for Potential fraud.
Whistle blowers should contact
Dept of Justice, regional offices attn: assistant attorney generals office.
If you get layed off or not, you can make a difference by contacting and request to be anonymous. They have a legal obligation to honor your request if you so choose yet advisable.
These Mgmt people are sick and need to be held accountable.
Think about what it means that this post is even here on a board about Oracle.
Get out of the company. You deserve better. Get your resume together and move to the next job. You can do it! Lots of us have.
A friend of mine said, “You first raise up those who you would destroy!”
Methods of sabotage include withholding critical pieces of information/details from employee, taking credit for their subordinate's work & ideas, exercising unhealthy control and micromanagement of every detail of subordinate's work, intentional creation of obstacles to make life difficult or near impossible for subordinates, complete denial of their own actions and decisions, frequent verbal abuse and put downs aimed to diminish a subordinate's self-confidence. The strange part is the same manager will always come back to the competent employee to get the work done, but then their insecurity grows, and the vicious cycle continues.
You hit the nail on the head! My manager also made up fake projects for me to work on, waited until I had wasted months, then said "We don't need that anymore". I have a sneaking suspicion that he was telling other people that it was MY idea to work on that. Like he didn't tell me to do it; I was just stupid and did random d-mb things. Bunch of loser managers at Oracle.

I guess sabotage is one of the perks of working at Oracle!
Get your resume together and find that next job!
What's important is not that you are being sabotaged, but rather the high job satisfaction you continually experience while working at Oracle!
(You may genuflect to LE now)

If you want to watch it in action, keep an eye on VK and how he deals with competitors like CM and EU.
Gaslighting is a common tactic. Managers denying their words and actions to set u off kilter and break down your confidence. Not just at O, I’ve run into it other places. Mostly in the House of Larry.
