As somebody said before, as long as they can find people to do our jobs for less money they'll keep laying us off. They don't care how long any of us have been here and how much hard work we've put into this company. All that matters to them are the numbers. We are nothing but numbers to them. Sad but true.

I feel sorry for the employees that were doing espp, the leadership needs to change.
well he did get a 30% raise and a 20 million dollar home out of it and these layoffs were planned in 2020 the economy is a nice excuse but they were going to offshore these jobs regardless

All techs are now starting to cut salaried employees. Recession is about to hit as interest rates continue to hike. It's just not Paypal, it's many companies. I know, you're thinking, well just last month I heard their were labor shortages. Yes, there is labor shortage but in hourly wage workers. But as you already know, salary worker jobs usually get offshored. This happened to my company as well. It's just the facts of life. Wait till A.I. take over everyone's jobs.
Yeah, I think the CEO has enough stock and money saved up. Next….
Exactly. And it’s not only just with PayPal. It’s everywhere. We have to be smart employees and build ourselves a safety net to weather these unexpected things. It gives us more sense of control & protects our families.
About time, this was said. Lack of vision and planning got the best of him. No stability in growth with actual plan to perform and stay on top is causing casualties in layoffs. Anyone else would lose their job.
The same should be said about the CEO. From $310 stock price to $86 …. We can don’t better. Time for real change and true leadership at the top.
