All the bonuses and increases at the top rub me the wrong way when we keep losing benefits and getting insulting raises that don't even come close to matching inflation. But who cares about us as long as those on top are happy and satisfied, right? We'll take whatever they throw our way, we always have. Yes, I'm jaded and tired. When will things improve for the rest of us?

@2ysa+1h1uyxw3, I'm not placing the blame on anyone else. You must be one of those top management "people" that get a salary for doing absolutely NOTHING all day while you try to tell me how to do my job. It's a known fact that Verizon uses their notorious "needs of the business" verbiage to strongarm employees into working mandatory hours after their tour, they don't care about your plans, your child, emergencies or anything else, they only care about numbers and money. I'm not giving them anymore of my energy which is why I will always just do the bare minimum, this is the only way to keep a sane mind with these vampires.
This is America. If you don’t like where you work simply go get another job. Or start your own company. You are not forced to work anywhere. From your own words you do the bare minimum. Everyone probably knows that you work for. So don’t place the blame on everyone else. You want to be rich go get it. The only thing stopping you is you.
These people just keep getting promoted into higher positions with higher salaries usually into the millions while they work us like slaves. I truly have grown to despise this company hence the reason I do the absolute bare minimum and have medical restrictions so that I can't be "forced" into working hours that make us more susceptible to their stupid disciplinary actions and how about I just don't wanna work a 9-10 hour day if I didn't volunteer for it. All these so called top management I see not doing anything all day while they're on the clock but they just keep getting promoted. Why don't we have the opportunity to do something else except a management position which is all they seem to offer all the time?
This is why we need people to learn history or at least listen to their parents.
It may not seem like it at all times but a large portion of the population is just as fed up as you. They are pulling every punch that they can to try to stop it or try to slow it down. However it's futile. The one thing they fear is you banding with your fellow man, neighbor and countryman. Millionaires, CEOs and the like are some of the most hated individuals in this country and often world. Their day will come.
Amen preach I'm sick of golden parachutes while my stock 401k and pension tank. I'm a few years from retirement and the losses will not be regained in enough time smh. I am a fool to trade time for money.
I think there will be a change in the air sooner rather than later as most Americans are sick of 'Davos Man' and all of the woke nonsense that the rich use as cover to impoverish the rest of the country. It would not surprise me if there end up being 'claw backs' to some of these exec bonuses.
