The never-ending layoffs are stressing me out so much that I've started losing motivation to give it even my average, not to mention my all. Why would I? No matter how hard I work I can be laid off in a blink of an eye. I've seen it happen to some of our best employees. They gave it their all and then they were thrown out like trash. If that's likely to happen, what's the point?

did employees laid off in the US get any termination pay out?
100% Agree with the previous post. I was laid off two weeks ago but was lucky enough to have been already looking outside PayPal for my next opportunity, so I had something lined up quickly. You don't need to necessarily be super aggressive about it depending on your available savings/resources, but it's definitely a good time to at least put some feelers out and get a sense of what's out there. Some areas in tech are definitely contracting, but there are a lot of good opportunities out there and I'm very happy with where I ended up.
At the end of the day, you have a job still. While it might not be forever, nothing in life lasts forever. Just spruce up your resume and casually look on the side for something else. Make sure you’re saving as much as possible just in case the axe comes down on you. I think the shittiest part of a layoff is when you are ill prepared. If you do all that you can, you will feel like scared and unsure. I was laid off and I am doing just fine - looking for a new job, but I can still feed my family because we have savings and we were prepared in case this happened. No one likes to use their savings, especially for something like this, but it’s nice to have and it could be worse.
i've survived a multitude of these this one is by far the most extensive ive seen i have no intention of giving it my all i know where my position is headed
I fully intend to not work at all. I stayed after a different layoff and had so much work thrust upon me. I'm hoping I'll get laid off this time around too, but no matter what I'm done doing anything meaningful for such a garbage company. Unless Schulman leaves and takes his cr-p executive team with him, nobody is going to continue to support this. Here's to getting a new job!
i dont think its done. I have been watching the work i am receiving and well its underwhelming
