Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Dividend Guy again

So I really want to thank the Vteamers for the dividends. I made almost $5000 this quarter.

I also appreciate the person who corrected my bad spelling on a post I made.

Once a person posts here it can’t be fixed so thanks for the criticism.

Anyway hopefully the stock price improves as it’s been so awful.

Most likely the price is a reflection of the current leadership.

“Dividend Guy” is down 37% on his significant VZ stock position…but he’s happy like a pig in slop because he’s making about a 3% yield on his cost basis while inflation is at 10%….he’s not too bright. Losing his a-s and bragging about how much he’s got invested in the dog if the Dow.

Now that his VZ shares are at $39, I wonder if dividend guy realizes that his dividends are not covering the drop in share value, nor keeping up with the inflation rate? He could have bought risk free T Bills at 4% and been better off.

$5000, I make more in a day in just one of my investment accounts, not to mention my 401k, sounds like you need a investment advisor!!! By the way I work for Verizon, but don't have any of their stock. Get at&t, it has a great dividend AND IT MAKING MONEY!!

We don’t hear much from “Dividend Guy” anymore. When he was bragging about his big dividend income VZ stock was at 58, now it’s at 45 per share, so his Dividends are not even covering his losses… when VZ it’s it’s dividend he’ll have even more crow to eat.

So Hans is tanking the whole stock market, causing inflation, and starting world war 3 which is hurting your way VZ heavy out of balance portfolio because of some wokeness?

Looks like it pays below the rate for a cash refund annuity if you had invested the same amount and peopme keep saying annuities are really bad.

Verizon dividend payout is weak. There are many other dividend paying stocks and REITS that not only go up in value, but pay larger dividends than Verizon which is a dead, stagnant stock that has not shown growth in many years.

if that's the case this id--t saying he made money from dividends but the price went from $55 to $48 so he has lost more money with the price and hopefully will recover if not he is losing more money over the money made by his dividends return.

So are you saying that you have over 7500 verizon shares in your bag? So maybe about $350,000 usd worth of VZ shares? I'd be interested in seeing what the rest of your portfolio looks like. How did you get so many shares and why? $5000 a month beyond nice, however with that many shares I can't imagine you're that concerned about money.
