The kid (SB) will eventually want to start leaving his mark and something that always impresses Wal Street are layoffs. From what I have heard about SB (factual and some inuendo) is that he isn't someone who has a ton of empathy for others and cares very little about people below him unless they serve a specific use to him. Most staff here should absolutely be terrified with him at the helm.
I have a sinking feeling they are itching to pull the trigger on a round of layoffs and are now just waiting for the excuse.
