Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

So "permanent-hybrid" is pretty much a sham?

Certain BU's were told that we now have to RTO three days per week minimum. How long until that is 4? Then back to 5?

Shows that "permanent-hybrid" really was nothing more that a stop gap to slow the bleeding of key people leaving in droves. C-suite level knows people want flexibility/WFH but they don't agree and don't care. Full RTO is coming they just delayed it to try and calm the waters. Just another indication that upper management is clueless.

Its a darn shame the 'head' of this company has such a low opinion of the people whose labor produce the wealth he enjoys at his leisure.

"How do you know that the companies announced plan for a hybrid work week are insincere? "

Because part of the messaging Frank gave mid-level managers was "I don't want everyone working Tu-We-Th either. Not everyone needs a four day weekend."

It's clear he has no interest in WFH, doesn't trust people to do their jobs, and is a small-minded micro-manager. It will be his and Fiserv's undoing.

Leadership should just leave it up to the lower level managers to determine how often they'd like their team members to come into the office. Leadership has no clue what the front line work is like at this company, and every team's work situation is unique. So why push a universal RTO agenda on all teams when many are more than capable of deciding for themselves whether or not it's necessary or worthwhile for them to come into the office multiple times per week? The excessive degree of micromanagement at this company is truly unbelievable. For every one person taking advantage of WFH by working a second job or taking 2-hour lunch breaks, there are tons more people working hard and being even more productive thanks to WFH. Don't let the rare exceptions to the rule dictate policy. That's just asanine.

Heck our offices in India can only operate at 50 percent capacity by Gov decree so yes Fiserv is a Hybrid environment.

"How do you know that the companies announced plan for a hybrid work week are insincere?"

  • Because it came from Fiserv.

Fiserv leadership earned our lack of trust.

The way things are going, having 3000 people in NJ is not going to happen. Unless they cook the books by hiring temporary staff. People leaving quicker than they can hire

Your CEO doesn't care about anyone. Why are they revoking remote work agreements that were made years ago by the former Fiserv leadership? Not just since COVID. You think they care about associates? Every single thing they've done has been to the detriment of the employee. They take away the 401k match and the stock discount. Then when it comes back at a fraction of what it was, we're told to be happy about it. Enjoy the Kool-Aid.

Propaganda and desperation. How do you know that the companies announced plan for a hybrid work week are insincere? Do you know that as a fact or are you her pushing your own agenda because you don’t like the fact that our ceo actually cares about our clients and hard working associates. You probably quit and now find out that A) nobody owes you anything and b) your new employer has no plans to put up with your nonsense. Grow up, while the rest of us appreciate our new hybrid workweek!

Hybrid is just a stepping stone to returning to five days in office and a ten hour average weekly commute.

Some of the tax credits being offered by New Jersey require a substantial investment in office or manufacturing space. If a company seeking those tax credits invests as required, they will likely force employees to utilize it. That's just a guess, of course. I wouldn't dare to suggest that's what's happening here.
