Pulse survey

Does anyone know what happens with the pulse surveys? Are they anonymous? Do they make a difference?

Yes it makes a difference. Leaders do look at the responses and use that info to make changes or know if the changes that have been implemented are working or if adjustments are needed.

The information is shared to leaders from their HR partner so they do not see any info that would make it not anonymous. Additionally, there are times where the teams are small and it would be easy to make guesses as to who was the respondent but those responses are not shared with the smaller team leader but rather rolled up to higher level leaders reports with bigger sample size and therefore prevents anyone from speculating.

Bottom line is there are preventative measures in place to protect anonymity and associate feedback is very important. I can only speak for my org, but we take it very serious and are working every day to improve the associate experience. If we don’t hear from associates, it’s very hard for us to know if we are headed in the right direction and/or where changes still need made.

Having left a part of Humana's IT department, nothing at the organization is anonymous. We know the UserID, UMID, IP address...etc. at every click. Half of the time the data points are not collected and reported out on unless upper VPs and regional presidents have questions.

It's always safe to assume that they can see everything. I speak my mind on those and I've never had a problem. Regardless of being anonymous, you should still call it like you see it. It's the only way to push for change.

No, Pulse surveys aren’t anonymous. They can be traced to your Humana IP address. Unless you’re being told by a third party that your survey info will be kept confidential, assume it may not be.

You can still respond to a Pulse survey. Just be careful how you say what you say.

They are absolutely positively 100% NOT ‘anonymous’. It is tied to your email. They know who the replies are from. Anyone says differently doesn’t know anything about IT.
