Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Layoffs last week

heck another 400 got let go in the last week

Is this true? I haven't heard anything about layoffs last week and that's not something that usually stays hidden. Especially when we're talking about 400 people, that's not a small number. Can the poster please provide more info on this if it's true?

This announcement actually was on Fuel in March under the camouflage of new improved system… not advertised as a layoff if Fiserv’s employees which it was..prior employees were selected to apply for a contractor position… a real slap in the face.

HCL was touted as an excellent choice and will be wonderful…,not so much!

You mean letting an entire department go and hiring contract in isn’t a good idea? Say it isn’t so!
Wonder when they will optimize other groups like DBA or Windows OS tech or NOC or automation.
Help desk shows what savings they can expect.
How brain damaged. Perhaps Frank went to that colonia high school?

Good luck getting any IT staff on the phone anymore. It’s a crapshoot. Every single person I’ve spoken to trying to get a hold of IT, myself included, has sat on hold for 30+ minutes only to get the call dropped.

This was posted on an older thread yesterday:

380 people both on desktop support and helpdesk, along with other groups, were let go on April 15th. They outsourced the jobs to a company called HCL. And the complaints are coming in. Rumor has it the people that were hired are not very skilled in computers. To the point where they have to train them from scratch and Fiserv management is now looking at the resumes of the people HCL hired or considering hiring. I guess they figured out that you get what you pay for.
