Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

$20 an hour, means get ready for much higher Quotas

$20 an hour, means get ready for much higher Quotas

Where do you think Verizon is going to get that money from? Not from the customers, because for sure the prices for Verizon are not going up. But, Verizon can and will change the Quotas and force you to sell more accessories, more TMP, and better be ready for 1+1.

Good luck!

I agree. We need communism so the workers get fair pay. With any luck Putin will invade us next.

2 to 3% would be a big slap in the face! Are you kidding me? Food, gas, rent, property tax and utilities are increasing like crazy and Verizon is making billions in revenue. I have to get a second job to support my family and I blame it all on the leadership and their unwillingness to take any action. This company doesn't care about their reps and they make it so obvious in the way they compensate. "Hey team, we just raked in billions in Q1, enjoy the pay that you can get working at Wal Mart!"

Rumor has it Verizon will be giving a 2-3% increase across the board to those working in the areas mentioned. There have already been meetings about this since there is a serious amount of negative feedback.

Yeah but that was years ago when Hanser didn't make as much as he does now. He's had time to reshape the structure in his favor. Now we make tu-d sandwhiches and he is a rich douche

Um...Verizon just made 4.5 billion Q1. Pretty sure they can afford everyone $20 hr + commission.

It’s not actually $20/hr. The hourly plus commission combined is equivalent to $20/hr. It’s more like $15/hr plus commission.. about $41,000 a year.

Check out the post on the internal Verizon homepage regarding the $20 an hour, you'll be happy to know that there are plenty of people that feel the same way and it seems the whole thing is blowing up in their face because you got people talking about the Union on there and the unionizing stores, they getting called out hard even worse than when they announced denim
