Let’s be honest here. The campaign for getting rid of anyone who is experienced and a long time employee has been on the way for a while now.
Do they really think that the new and inexperienced employees can just pick up the work that has been done by folks who have been here for a long time? What is this company going to looks like in a year or two?

They value money over experience and knowledge. They almost do everything in their power to ensure that SMEs are not created by constant moving of people like checkers on a checker board.
If you are a new trainee, take all the training that you can get. After two years, find a company of quality and accept a new position with the 25% bump in pay. This is not a destination company. It's a company that should be at the beginning of your resume and then forgotten about as you move through your career.
Yes, they think that and it will happen. No one is that great at their jobs that they're irreplaceable. Losing knowledge sucks, but the company sorts itself out every time it happens. This isn't the first reorg. You're not special.
