Well, well, well looks like an apple store in New York is trying to go union, hopefully they will be successful, if one goes union more will follow, and Verizon should be shaking in their shoes. Their $20 an hour announcement did nothing for tenured reps, managers or anyone that has been with the company for more than a few years. Verizon it's time to sh-t or get off the pot!!! Buying employees pizza doesn't pay their bills, sending employees " be kind" bracelets doesn't pay their bills!!!

Go find a better paying job. Oh boo hoo!
Only a clown would think it's ok for Verizon to lower my pay by $21,000 in the last 2 years!!
Lol only a clown would want to see VZ unionize.
who care about CrApple. Go work for them unionite.
it’s not $20 an hour plus commission. it’s the combined total on what you make in commission plus salary so most existing employees won’t get any type of hourly raise.$20 an hour for a full time employee is $41,600 a year. before tax, medical and 401k deductions.
Don't be fooled by what you are reading or the lies the union tells you. Brooklyn employees got the exact same raises as everyone else, except the union takes their share directly out of employees checks.
- 5% is a good 50% more than I got. VZ had had some union stores in NY for a while and saw some post on reddit that there may be a couple more now in WA. Not really taking off but at least it is increasing faster than our wages.
Maybe they can get working conditions equivalent the those in Chengdu.
more new people then vets anymore. They just bought union protection. However in West market people already make more then 20 if it's hourly and commission. Most new people start 16-18 before adding in any bonus.
I got a whopping 1.5% for my performing, after 15yrs, thank you Verizon, I worked through the pandemic, worked 45 to 50 hrs a week for months in a short staffed store, 3 people working in a store that had 10, 3hr wait times, took an $18000.00 pay cut when they changed commission, thanks for my 1.5% raise!!!! And now new hires are hiring in at a couple dollars less that my hourly rate, and they wonder why everyone is looking at the unions for help.
They could up our po-p 4% raise that doesn't even keep up with inflation. However once again Verizon following others. Tmobile did it first. Knowing that a new hire can walk in off the street and make close to some 10 years vets is laughable. I for one will work far less as hard.
