I've tried RTO and I hate it. I know I used to do it all the time but things have changed. I'm now at the point where thinking about being laid off produces feelings of hope instead of the dread it used to produce. I'm too chickenshit to quit on my own, but if they want to lay me off, I'll welcome it.

I don't necessarily want to be laid off. I know it will never happen. I am just looking at a good time to exit. I seem to be wanting to hang on until the bitter end for some reason. I guess it is hard to imagine life being so good when leaving this corrupt and despicable company. LOL!
Stop whining about how awful wells is and get off your a-s and do something about it.
@qps awfully bold of you to judge other people's motivations. Coasting along waiting for a package is a solid career path at the moment. Most of the jobs at WF are simple enough to do on autopilot, but apparently difficult to automate.
I know of at least 1 automation system that's been in development for 3 years and is still barely functional despite becoming a one-stop-shop for lots of the bank.
Advice: If you are waiting to be laid off, you’re just wasting your life. The layoff may never come and you end up working years in a job that makes you unhappy. Move on—-life is short.
OP, why would you wait for a layoff or even want one? The job market is supposedly hot right now. You should be able to find a remote position. Put yourself out there. Nothing here will change. You have to change. The passively waiting for a layoff just puts you at a disadvantage.
You might be surprised at what you find out there if you look.
I was hoping to get laid off for a year but got tired of waiting for someone else to make a decision for me so I left. I couldn't be happier with my decision and wish I hadn't wasted a year waiting. You might be lucky enough to get laid off but with attrition rates being what they are, I wouldn't hold my breath.
I quit on my own (without another job lined up) and today is my last day! Trust me, it feels great!!
