I haven't heard of any layoffs in awhile. Is it finally over until the fall?

Layoffs unfortunately are a regular part of TR life. The sad thing is that they always take you by surprise when it is your turn. You dodge enough bullets over the years and somehow you think you’re immune to it but you’re not. You’re just a number to them. Those who are not old enough to retire and you get laid off, I feel bad for many reasons but one of them is who wants to be trained remotely on a new job? Well at least I wouldn’t want to be.
It appears primarily now the strategy is to not fill open roles on overstressed teams.
From the 2021 Annual Report page 12 (all publicly available data):
"Our human capital practices and initiatives are designed to attract, motivate and retain high quality and talented employees across all of our businesses who feel valued, are provided with opportunities to grow, and are driven to succeed... Over the last few years, oversight of human capital management has also been a greater focus area for our Board of Directors."
There are more coming. Entire US teams have been given a June 2022 date. That is the case in Customer Service & Support anyway. Continuing to move the roles to low cost locations. They can't even retain employees in those low cost locations. Such a sad mess.
I heard there could be more notifications in June plus the end of year exits needed for the 2023 cost reductions.
