Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle Stock. 80.94

I’m sick of seeing stock drop. Oracle is driven by Cloud. Cloud can not support Oracle as is. Severe downsizing is necessary . Expenses are too much for Cloud to carry. The other products don’t work unless I’m
Missing something. Why are products not good? It seems like new products are a poor copy of competitors yesterday. NetSuite is a joke. It’s embarrassing to see the ads and comments on Facebook.
Oracle is known for layoffs but in the past they wouid hire. Does new hire numbers match numbers leaving, currently? There are plenty of job postings. Is this just a front? Bottom line: what does Oracle need to do to increase profit? I am a frustrated investor.

If you are 60 you might get lucky and be able to stay and retire from Oracle
50 -59!Hope you are saving & investing wisely and have house paid for …. With inflation it’s going to be tough.
you are too old to find a decent job and your too young to make it to retirement. Better be smart.

Younger than 50? Find a new job fast

I’d be interested to hear what the embarrassing comments are about netsuite.

Not hard to find.

'Is this just a front?'

I'm certain it is. Open job requisitions (that will never be filled) are probably being counted in the employee number.

Death throes. LOL! Oracle could cut back every 90 days for 20 years, only hiring as absolutely necessary, and still not be even close to dying.

You are correct. Plenty of companies wander around the galaxy for years, even decades, totally irrelevant. But one day it all comes to an end. Think "Sears"

But also think about the day after LE sheds his mortal coil and the ensuing s***storm that will surely follow.

IF Oracle were smart, they would be the cloud, they'd be the company that SUPPLIES the cloud. But then again when you have alienated virtually everyone from cloud providers to third party supporters to customers, where do you go?

I wouldn't by a #2 pencil from Oracle.

Oracle is finally in its final death throes. It will not recover from here.
