Oracle Hospitality Struggles

Oracle Hospitality competitors have surpassed O on all levels. Oracle is far more expensive. Product is sold and the gouging begins, charging for everything never stops. Hoteliers are moving to other vendors that offer new features and components for less money, digital training & great support. Oracle oversells and can’t deliver promises causing customers to spend more and issues continue. Customers want what they pay for & Oracle is not delivering. So they get mad a leave. Oracle seems to know that independent hotel owners will not take the time & money for lawsuits. They will just cut bait & move on.

What Oracle does know is that hospitality culture is relationship based. And most independent hotels are connected to others that are connected to others. Word of mouth travels quickly in this industry. Corporate owned hotel brands are different. They have legal teams. This practice can only go on for so long. It will be stopped soon. In comparing competitors, Oracle had lowest rating & reviews strongly suggests not to use Oracle.

Slow, painful death of acquisitions is a normal part of Oracle's acquisition lifecycle. Products in the Hospitality GBU are not special in this regard.

  1. Oracle buys a company or companies
  2. Said companies get added to a GBU
  3. Products in the GBU suffer from lack of investment as Oracle milks the support stream
  4. The best and brightest in the GBU get a clue an leave for greener pastures
  5. Products in the GBU become uncompetitive and die
  6. Rinse, repeat

It's about time. Customers really need to wake up. That will drive Oracle's demise.
