Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

So many are quitting

I don't understand why. Things haven't improved since the separation from IBM but they haven't worsened either. What's making people suddenly decide that they can't take it anymore and leave in such large numbers? I'd really like to know if I'm missing something obvious...

I resigned end last year, after 25 yrs with IBM. Reasons, I did not elect to go to Kyndryl, it was forced upon me. All trusted relationships had vanished due to coworkers gone, no pay raises, every one lying to executives about how to turn around the ship, no resources available to do anything anymore, same boring work, and leadership just repeating what everyone else is saying, living in a fantasy world. And Kyndryl all a smokescreen to dump us like garbage from IBM. I doubled my salary by leaving, it’s a great opportunity with hard work, it’s scary, I doubt myself, it’s many changes for me, out of comfort zone but grateful and doing my best work in an elite team and starting to shine, You can do it if I can, trust me all you have to do is take first step outside!

The people that stays are the one with retention bonus or the one that is not aware of the great resignation wave. I left earlier this year with 40% salary increase.

The great resignation bruh
Several great paying jobs out there with more $ and sign on bonuses.
Kyndryl better be giving BIG raises or many more will be walking IMO.

I quit just a few weeks ago -- from my side things have been getting worse as we are transitioning to different systems, have no support, and things are just an overall mess

I left late last year as I didn't see how things were going to change for the better with the speed that is required for Kyndryl to establish itself where it wants in the market. Have to say the best decision I have made in the last decade work-wise...
