Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

The company is not what it used to be

Many are leaving because of this and many more are planning to leave. Not that this management cares.

Company has become very woke and in the attempt to create a "hip" organization, it has lost what made it a great company up and until leadership change in 2020. My part of the business ("enablers" - eye roll...) has lost so much great talent since last year, post-reinvent, that it is close to impossible for the remaining few to absorb the work. Management doesn't seem to care... what happened to "One Team", "Care for each other" or "Be Kind"?

Dire strategy, ceo that has zero respect from peers due to windfall tax, share price that’s stagnated whilst competitors have tripled.

They will have to start caring when most of the top talent is gone, though.
