Starting January 1st, 2023, all employees including new hires will have 5 weeks vacation. Carryover of up to 4 weeks into the following year, without expiration. Currently, personal days are being discussed. Union wants 10 personal days, company wants 8. That will not replace the current paid sick time.

Nonsense
This is foolishness, why would Verizon give any of us anything at all extra, especially at this present time? Their pattern is taking away things, from their employees and their customers, so again, why do you spread such propaganda on here? None of us should expect anything "nice" from Verizon but do expect more financial benefits for them and less for us.
I’m gonna need a 6th week, I’ve already got 5. I’m also gonna need the same discounts everyone else is getting, and a cost of living increase, and some decent raises. That’s a good starting point.
Union shill spreading propaganda again. In 2023 we will be union free!
5 weeks is the standard for everyone in EMEA as a minimum, plus public holidays on top of that.
I call BS. No company offers 5 weeks for new hires unless you're an exec.
Click bait!!!
Never happen.
Fake news
I do not agree with this. Once again, this hurts the employees who have right around 25 years who went decades with less than 5 weeks, now you're just going to hand it out to newbies? This is a spoiled mentality that younger employees have, and you're CATERING to it. Shame.
If true, longtime employees get screwed yet again. There is no benefit in staying with this company longterm. Longterm employees make almost the same has a new hire and now you want to give new hires the same amount of vacation days it use to take 10 or more years to get?!?! It use to pay to stay with this company now it's a joke. Verizon wants to know why for the first time the competition is beating us...
Here is your answer: You outsourced everything either to vendors or overseas, turned most corporate stores to indirect, got rid of most of your best employees because of greed and not wanting to give adequate raises and or commission (the few good longtime employees that were left are on their way out too now)....there is sang that verizon has said for years (but apparently forgot it's meaning), "you get what you pay for."
