I've read in a few places that the layoffs are expected to last two weeks. What are the chances this is true? I hate the idea of having to wait the entire weekend not knowing if we're done or not. As if this hasn't been a stressful enough week as it is. The last thing I need is more worrying over this.

I have a feeling that those of us who were spared will be in charge of training our replacements from Guatemala, Mexico City, and Bangalore, and then there will be yet another round of layoffs to get rid of the USA based people
It can’t be an enjoyable job to lay this many people off, so I imagine it was swift and limited to this week for now. Back office morale is destroyed for the ones that were spared. Some people will just keep working, but many are updating resumes and looking for a new Avenue.
I find it weird that the exact number of employees laid off has not been released. There were employees laid off form the Chandler office but the news articles don't say how many. That tells me the layoffs are going to continue next week. Maybe? IDK.
I've heard from a friend on another team they were told there would be additional cuts later in the year but were not given any specific timeline. He sounded like his team was probably safe for the near future though. I am not sure about PayPal in general, though.

You’re asking a bunch of people who just lost their job to feel bad for you that you may lose your job lol. Write in a diary or something.
