Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

20k new hires

Jamie was quoted in an interview saying the bank has hired 20k new people in the past year. MY question. Where are they? They are nowhere to be seen in my area of CIB.

So what are they doing? I'd like to think with 20K new bodies things would be in much better shape than they are, versus just trying to stay halfway in-tact day to day currently.

Maybe to replace those 20k that left for places who allow work remotely and don't force go the office?

An employee who feels appreciate is more loyal and deliver/produce more.

Oh hey dude those 20k of new hires were needed for management. You got to have a 3 to 1 worker ratio.

What's not mentioned is that attrition is equal to or greater than those hires

Heck our lob is worrying each day concerning layoffs. Cannot even see how they are keeping us this long with no work. Feast or famine in mortgages. I'm grateful each week I'm still here. Love the people I work with and truly love the job.
