Telesales is a dead channel man. You switched at the wrong time. Two years late.
how much difference per hour are we talking here?
I attempted negotiation, they said no, go figure
Before transferring from the retail store to telesales they give you an offer that you can accept or deny. The hourly pay should naturally be on a less scale in telesales because you aren’t dealing with the revolving door of customer service issues that come into the stores.
It's harder than in-store because it is completely controlled. You'll find a lot of things they say about moving to inside sales is a lie. Good luck, because your best option is to leave this company. Once you're in inside sales you'll figure out nearly every manager is just a nuisance to themselves, and makes your job impossible. They'll pull you off calls on the 2nd day of the month just to hear themselves talk. It won't matter if you're like me having a 2.0 they are just at year 15 accomplishing nothing but making themselves look d-mb. This is inside sales.
it wasnt voluntary, i had a baby who was born with respiratory issues which would be impacted by covid so i got an accomodation to switch to telesales, the store was awful anyways so i guess it was a blessing i just couldnt believe they took my raise away that i worked 8 years for, when they pay some ppl a decent salary to do almost nothing its a slap in the face
Verizons pay bands should increase with inflation.
Man, Verizon does some stuff but this one's solely on you
So you voluntarily switched to an easier job with a different pay structure and now you're upset that you have to live with it? Gotcha.
Wait until next year, you will NOT get a raise. Their excuse is your job role has a cap at certain hourly. Even if you are leading NO raise . No point .
Why talransfer? Hopefully you have an exit strategy to leave Verlieson for good.
Did you just accept that answer or attempt to negotiate with HR?
Nope, the fact that they create "pay bands" is downright evil. Some reps haven't gotten a raise in years.
