I’m not saying I was the best employee, but I did the best I could and I worked a lot. When I realized that the most important thing here is whom you know, not how hard and well you work, I changed my philosophy. It's not worth the headache.

Your workplace considers you replaceable. Your family considers you irreplaceable. Act accordingly. Elon Musk just posted a tweet deriding American workers and praising Chinese workers. It’s extreme but probably shared by many in the C-suite. Do your job but live your life too

They look for reasons to fire you.
They hate you.
