Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Is it just a malicious rumor?

All sorts of things can be expected at Fiserv, but with so many people leaving, I can't believe there are more layoffs coming as some say. Please tell me if I misunderstood something or if it's just malicious rumors.

@4njr: don't be stupid, take the layoff! What kind of shitty boss would say something like this. They have zero power right now. Take the layoff and laugh all the way to the bank.

My team was told if we aren't badging in at least 3 days a week we will be laid off in June. They are going to pull reports starting this week. Our SVP said he has pink slips already filled out just waiting for names.

I do work from home forever. Of course I left Fiserv.
Lots of really good tech ops positions available. I do devsecops on aws platforms.
Really enjoying my new position having departed fiserv.

Let them work from home forever. Let everyone who wants to, work from home forever.

Work from home as much as you can. Attempt to send the message that the employees want to work from home.

We know that they are not capable of listening, but we still need to make the attempt.

I’d like the company to be honest about all the unvaccinated associates still allowed to wfh forever…the dept I’m in they talk the talk of 2/3 but they don’t mean it…they really want you there in person 5 days a week…I’m starting to deeply resent this and the leaders of this dept just don’t see it…and yet they are the ones involved in the “how to make Omaha associates happier at work “ calls/decisions…should we ever have to mask up again in the ofc…you will be hard pressed to get people to stay

Layoffs are not a one size thing, they are not always hundreds of people. A company this size with as many locations that it has is always going to be having layoffs, most too small for anyone to really notice. In fact I was laid off a few months ago. As far as I know I was the only one from my location. The reason? Everyone else on my team quit! But I was lucky, my manager knew I had one foot out the door and I already had two offers on the table. In summary, yeah layoffs are still a thing.

I'm sure we'll see more layoffs. This will mainly come in the form of relo or gtfo for the remotes. I expect it to be at a slightly slower pace with the attrition but still to come to those of us that are remote over the course of the next year.

With inflation, the DOW and gas prices skyrocketin, make no mistake that Frank has the pink slips in the top drawer.
