Exit interview?

I accepted a job offer with a new company and plan to give my notice next week. What are the chances there will be an exit interview? My department is losing employees at an insane rate. Does Fiserv care to find out more regarding why so many people are jumping ship? From what ex-employees have told me, there haven’t been any exit interviews.

Left a few weeks ago - no exit interview. Just a generic “Voluntary Termination” .pdf attached to an email from HR the day before I left that tells you where to ship your stuff to COBRA info etc. P.S. once you’re actually gone from this toxic and abusive environment you won’t really give 2 $hits about not having had one. Life is so much better without FSV in your life! And while working from home 100% for a company that values you and your work.

Hr has the same problem with turnover as everyone else. They don’t like what is going on either

Left late last year. No exit interview with HR. The only contacts were with my manager and director on the day I gave notice. I laid out the reasons why I was leaving (too many hours a week and forced to go into an office after I had been WFH for years). They understood and wished things were different. I also worked out a KT plan. They were nice folks and so was my team. Got an email stating where to send my laptop and monitor. HR sent emails and letters with regards to benefits. That was it.

If you have an exit interview with HR or anyone, keep it civil. Calmly explain your reasons for leaving and say goodbye.

Left last month. No exit interview and no contact by HR on anything. My last paystub was printed and mailed. Could barely read it, the ink jet printer used needed heads cleaned. One letter about rolling over benefits and that's it.

Exit interviews are really just there to protect the company (discover if employee is going to sue for something.). Like everyone else said, they know why we're all leaving so there's no reason for them.

I had an exit interview. Very brief. They didn't really care about my replies. They wanted to know where I was going and what position I was taking, and I told them (politely) that's my concern only and I would not be discussing my future plans on that call.

Also, I never got the address to send the laptop back to. Had to get it from one of my coworkers. I guess they are that overwhelmed with departures.

This is what Frank wants. It's their mess now.

Like another poster my leadership knew why I was leaving, maybe that is why didn't get one. And, yes, it had to do with post FDC policy changes and Mr BIG.

IMHO the lack of exit interviews speak volumes:

They do not care why people are leaving,

They don't have the resources to conduct the exit interviews because they are too busy filling positions

They know why people are leaving

It is not part of Fiserv's culture to care anymore.

What did I miss?

I had an informal exit interview with my manager and told him point blank that I believe Frnk is destroying the company. He got scared and changed the subject - it's like he has been threatened or something. Fiserv has become a scary place ruled by fear.

No exit interview and there is no upside in one anyway.

Best is be delighted with your new opportunities and close out an old tired chapter.

I left in December and had an exit interview with an HR person. It lasted under 10 minutes and the person did not care about anything I said. I am glad it is over.

Good luck to all of you left behind, the grass is greener.

I left in February - there wasn’t an exit interview to speak of. The HR person seemed bewildered, overworked and just wanted to get the “exit meeting” (about benefits, coverage, computer return stuff) over with.
