Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Consider these four items

*google- the layoffs at CVS-Coremark. Because of the timing I would think it was begun while our new leaders were still in charge.
*think of your salary. At 800 dollars a week that is 20 dollars an hour. The brand new employee at Subway, gas station or McDonalds are starting at 18+ dollars an hour and many times are getting a bonus after 30 days. If you only work 45 hours it drops your pay to 17.77 per hour.
*your raise. Must be a minimum of 7% (LOL). If inflation stays at 7% anything less means you would take a step back in what you can buy.
*work more hours with no help. Small store managers will need to work more and more hours. With little help and small bonuses many will resign. Maybe that is the plan. They will be replaced by hourly (maybe PT) new managers with limited benefits and making less money than the previous manger. They will report to local large store managers as we all know the RM can not take on more stores.
Just my thoughts.

Agreed. Medium sized volume store managers that are capable will be bumped up a bit to be multi-unit managers. I bet low volume stores go to having 2 ASMs.
