This is what I hope, however, almost all of my colleagues expect big cost cuts, that is, big RIFs. There is nothing more I can do but try to find a new option as soon as possible. I have no idea who the target might be. Do you too think that there might be big RIFs around the corner?

I think it’s safe to say Humana is a has-been. A thing of the past. A company that will be bought out, broken up, and no longer in existence. I give it 1-2 years to reach extinction.
Humana know full well how this affects people. They know that job insecurity is debilitating. All of the 'wellness' 'diversity/culture' and 'financial security' BS they pu-e each week on Hi, it means nothing. The insecurity of the 50,000 employees means nothing compared to a few more pennies on the EPS. The uppers have cowed the workforce and they are now afraid to speak out, afraid to challenge the BS and live in fear of being let go.
If you are an RN you have no reason to not look for another job. With the possibility of sign on bonus and much higher salary it would be an easy win. For those of us who are not RNs, moving may be more difficult but in today's world it's easier than you might think.
We will never change the Humana Culture. This company is in a downward spiral of it's own making and will only survive by reducing costs, (you) and a constant search for companies to swallow up. The logical step is for Humana to be bought out and eventually broken up.
The emails and town halls speak for themselves. Read and listen. There are RIF’s coming. With the new direction being in home and community care, it seems obvious telephonic programs will be the first to be RIF.
Who knows? No one knows who the target is, no one knows how big, or even if a RIF will occur, there’s nothing any of us can do but do our jobs and/or look for another job.
