Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Target Employees get paid more

Today their minimum wage got raised to $24/hour .

Been with verizon for 9 years. And that’s what I get paid now. Use to be proud of working for this company but it’s gone downhill in every aspect from leadership, comp plan, point of sale, and customer service.

Never thought I’d be leaving the mighty verizon to go work for Target 🤣

I'm sure you realize that the 24.00 per hour at Target will depend on your location and job title. New York being one example where is you live there you will make more due to the higher cost of living

Why would OP be lying? If you’ve been with the company a long time , you clearly know years ago we NEVER cared about hourly and we relied on that phat commission check. I’ve been with vzw for 7 years and got leading the 1st 4 years . I’ve been getting “performing” since then because IDGAF anymore so I’ve been capped at $24 an hour.

Dude reading headlines! This is for Target and their distribution centers. They are required to left and operate logistics machines and technology. Relax, you can stay in retail for a few more years and reset passwords.

You absolutely get capped regardless of tenure. It’s happening to a tenured rep in my store.

Naw I think he is telling the truth… after a certain hourly rate your get max out. Meaning even if you get performing every year you will revive a 0% raised . I’m in the same boat only reason why I’m still here is because of my vacation hours I max them out every year .

I’m not sure which channel you’re in but if you’re only at $24 after nine years, your performance ratings must have been garbage. Lol
