The post from @6cmi+1fwsHjsL made think about when mentioning managers etc

Why don’t people name names? Is it against this websites rules? Good or bad management. Call them out??

Is it due to size of teams or because many are small teams? My team is about 15 people so it’s really easy to figure who said what. So is it the fear of getting in trouble? Or a slander/libel thing?

I am genuinely curious. Not trying to cause trouble, but like people will post Tom’s name (more of a public figure?) but not managers who are doing either good or bad things??

The only thing blocking the exodus is the red sea, that shall be parted in July (kids summer break)

@4qgv
My manager is the same but he is always reachable. Did you try and inquire to him what he actually works? Maybe he has other issues preventing him, or he trusts you?
I know my manager ends up working days off and online practically 24x7. I have messaged him at 3am before and later that day and he still responded in a timely manner.
He is one of the few with 4 shifts. I really hope GF takes care of him because I know he is one of the good managers and I do not want to see him quit us. The turnover rate is bad for management.

Staying on topic 4.5% here. 7% in November. Aka I was probably underpaid.

my manager is MIA, haven't seen him in months. He works one of the cushy 4 day shifts after the last AME re-org. I work C shift. Our shifts are supposed to overlap. I see his manager more than I see him. Expecting to get my paycheck before I get my compensation statement.

Seems like he's ripping off the company. No one can tell what he does day to day. I don't want to snitch but it's getting ridiculous. What recourse is there?

So many quit, work load doubled (saves GF money, more with less), not reflected in raise.

Average 3.5 allegedly for Lvl 1-6
Average 2.1 allegedly for 7-9 +LTI (long term rsu)
Still below inflation, slightly better than last year.
Combine that with the % you possibly got (allegedly 50% of site) then it just might match inflation.
Anyone want to bet on how many people are left in June/July when schools let out and 50 seed shares can be sold?

For most, between 3-4%. Average around 3.5%.

Unsure how they came up with that number.

I am hopeful and optimistic that GF has learned its lesson, but prepared to eat my words, if that makes any sense. Looking forward to my 1 on 1 on Friday.

official date is March 3rd, but hopefully sooner. I don't recall an instance where compensation statements have been released early. Still, managers should know based on their suggestions. I say suggestions because the tool locks at some point, and manager's managers, and so on, have the ability to change it for weeks after.

This actually happened once. I had an average/below average tech that was on leave for half of the year. I prorated their bonus and raise %s, and redirected it to the techs on the same shift who picked up their slack. I submitted and thought all was good. When I got the compensation statements I saw that someone above me had changed their %s to median values. I sent an email up the chain asking why and never got a response.

Official disclosures aren’t suppose to start until Thursday, but I’m bracing for 2% at best. We also just lost several people to the vax mandate and/or jumping ship after the shipment bonus/QPB came through. Headcount continues to slim, and new hires take months-years to get up to speed. Nobody upstairs cares as long as the next quarterly earnings sounds good.

Last year I got such an insulting bump in pay and was told it was matching inflation …. But it actually wasn’t even close to matching?!?! Makes you think - do they know they are wrong? If so -then if these are the people running our numbers, doing our books and finances we are in big trouble. Because if true, they are mo--ns and do not know what they are doing or how to properly handle money.

OR

They are lying about it matching inflation and are aware that they are not telling truth. Which is super toxic. Feels like it is a bit like communist propaganda a bit.

Either answer is not a good look for GF. They are either incompetent or actively just screwing people over. (Gaslighting??)

Ironically a week or so after the raises last year this meme popped up…

We were told it will definitely be less than inflation. 3% may not be a bad guess.
