Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

How much longer can the status quo go?

Feels like I can't even look at the internet now without reading another article talking about the things employers are doing to keep and attract talent. Seems like every company but Oracle has figured out this is a necessity.

Has anyone gotten a raise or anything else lately that amounts to an increase in something of value from Oracle as incentive to stick around?

All I've seen lately is more stupidity from leadership with heads not just in the sand, but up their own as----e in the sand. The latest push seems to be a coordinated effort by leadership not only to not provide raises, but instead have the audacity to tell all the employees that we just need more grit, because that's what brings success.

So in the current environment where all other companies are increasing pay for a given level of work, Oracle is instead not increasing pay and asking employees to work harder. Larry really appears to have lost is mind.

Eff all these clowns.

The cheaper they can get employees, the more money LE puts in his pockets. That's really what Oracle is all about. There are much better places to work.

Was recently told by a leader that with my upcoming promotion I could only expect an x amount of comp increase vs what I expected (Typical comp is) because Oracle’s comp for the role has decreased $25K. Makes zero sense. Oracle is going backwards and leadership thinks employees buy into it. Management has no sense of advocating for employees and only look out for their own pockets

LE is only interested in increasing his own wealth. He doesn’t need the money, it’s just an ego thing. He thinks he has a right to squeeze employees to keep more cash for himself.
Like Vlad he thinks you are disposable and he can use you for whatever he wants. Vlad appears to have made some miscalculations though. Looks like the yes-men around him have been telling him his army is in great shape. Reality is that they are constantly losing equipment as they move into Ukraine.
That’s the down side to being an ego centered as----e LE. The people around you will keep the truth from you at all costs. They will tell you your company is in great shape when it’s really on its last legs. They know how to lie to you LE.
