I really wouldn’t like that to be true, but everything that happens in this company suggests that leadership is losing control in a subtle way? They seem completely lost to me, that is, as if they don't even know where they are going with this company and what they want it to be in the future.

If they have any sort of plan or strategy, they haven't communicated it. But based on how badly they failed at other communications, that is not surprising.
