It’s awful all the ways Humana is trying to get people to leave on their own so they don’t give them a package. It is very obvious that they are doing this on purpose. Managers deliberately put pressure on employees. I have been here a long time, too long to leave without severance pay. What a disappointment, after so many years of loyal work here...

I appreciate the update from BB yesterday informing employees about how Humana is trying to cut costs. I hate to be a negative Nancy, however, I feel like this RIF is going to be big. Working as a CM, I have always felt that the co-pays were too high for members who were already struggling and it appears that some members decided to go elsewhere for better benefits.
I will take the chance
Ah, poster…as much as you refuse to leave without your package, there’s no guarantee that Humana will provide the package they have done in past RIFs…the package was generous, but with financial issues, they may not be as generous as they have been.
For clarification, yes severance “package.” It is the very “package” provided if you are RIF. This “package” provides 2 weeks of full
pay for every year you’ve worked at Humana, along with full benefits (whatever your benefits are at the time you are RIF and at the same rate you pay as a active employee) through the end of the severance period.
What type of package were you expecting other than what everyone else gets, which is severance and PTO, unless you are in higher up management? Where on earth does this mentality come from that Humana is going to buy you out, give you a golden parachute for you to leave? If you’re like the rest of us, sorry, buttercup. No package. Wait until the next RIF, and see what your options are…but package? God bless.
@OP: You, specifically, will never see a package. I promise you this.
You are the type who will work until the bitter end, until there is no longer any package to offer, or until you burn out and quit or are buried. It's the struggle of all great employees. It's only the useless fluff in between "great employee we keep forever" and "horrible employee we fired for cause" who get packages.
Is it worth your mental peace? If you can able to find something better go for it.
