Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

I guess we are too expensive for Verizon

Obviously the plan is to replace the current employees with cheaper labor, so I assume that we can expect more and more outsourcing in the future. It will be interesting to look back in a few years and see how many jobs at Verizon will be outsourced?

Hopefully they lay us off sooner than later. Used to be an honor to work here. Now its embarrassing.

Ultimate goal is 80 percent outsource and 20 internal. Maybe even 90-10... Covid slowed the progression but we are ramping up again. I'd say 2 years, maybe 3 tops. 2025 is the end goal I believe, tough to say though. There's a lot of turnover in the spc, so that's why I say 3 years. Basically, your job whatever it is internally will be eliminated. I work in the spc side of the Verizon house, and we are expanding like crazy.
