I'm wondering if asking my manager for a raise was a bad idea? However, I don't care much what happens next because I certainly don't intend to stay much longer. My pay has been the same for more than two years and I have incomparably more work than when I first arrived here. Has anyone here already tried to discuss raise with their manager?

Seems to be an inverse relationship between intelligence and level of position at Oracle.
Fugging mgmt clowns.
Management recently told OCI reps to expect price increases soon due to inflation. Meanwhile the base salary hasn’t increased in 4 years and when our VP was asked about increasing salary for inflation we were told it wasn’t significant enough to warrant anything. My gas tank and grocery receipts tell a different story

Get a letter of intent from another company and you can bring it to your manager.
I had a three month notice period (one country in Europe), so I had the luxury of time to wait for the raise process to rise up through the organization and then trickle back down.
It supposedly went through all layers of management up to the CEO's office and then back down, and it could have been shot down at any of these levels.
I did get a raise in the end and the raise came a year before the layoffs five years ago which meant a much larger payout than I would get.
Save your energy, your breath and your sanity. The reply always is "There is no money in the budget for raises. Don't like it? there is the door"
I suggest you save several steps and choose the door.
the answer from your manager will be "no"

A little strong, but not untrue. The alternate response from your manager might be uncontrollable laughter.
Don’t bother. You will get a raise when you leave Oracle and there will be no stress involved. The other company will want you to move and they will pay for that. Get your resume together and find a way out.
People job hop for raises. Why would Oracle give raises to a bunch of job hoppers. You get a raise with Oracle then job hop for more money. In the past is was an average every 4.5 years but studies have suggested the a record amount of job hoppers are the reason for inflation.
Definitely raise the question. If you don't get action, immediately start your search if you haven't already. Get a better gig and never look back.
Even if they give you raise its not going to be in par with market. Why waste your energy. Just take less work and complete on time. Use remaining time for interview and preparation
You can always discuss a raise with your manager, but you speak louder when you simply look elsewhere!
Only 2 years?
Ha! Rookie.
