Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Get Ready to Jump

Talked to a former HPE coworker and friend last week. He said that he and a couple others recently jumped off the crazy train called HPE. He told me that there is no future for many at HPE so things must be getting desperate there. The board should take action before the company gets flushed down the cr----r.

@Gvzr+1fi3lUbN Dell Technologies is surpassing HPE in the market, as of 2021. It's sad state of affairs, but maybe I'll finally find my drives forecast!

People have been spouting the demise of this company for many years but yet hpe is still standing while dozens of computer companies have gone out of business must be reason why they're still here because they make damn good products and they'll be here long after you people are gone.

I worked at HPE for 20yrs. It's always the same. It's a downward never ending spiral. HPE is toxic.

Before I left HPE, I had several “training” sessions with the seven engineers in India who were going to replace me. I could tell that they were very nervous about taking over the development of my area of expertise. I was being contacted continuously by Indian developers up until my last day where I turned off my computer and pondered a much more fulfilling career designing hardware, firmware, and software for IOT projects.

As HPE begins bring people back to the office it's expected there will be wave of people quitting until they find out most companies want people to come back in. There will be no place to go.

A huge wave of employees have left this month and management are just now starting to recognize that it's a problem. For example, they're starting large meetings by saying how much they appreciate employees, offering opportunities to find alternate positions internally, etc. The reality is that it's just lip service and if you do speak up you are far more likely to be sent packing than given a better position. The exodus continues, and HPE execs are still wondering why.

Because they are going to tell people to return to the office like they have done time and time again in the past. And those that don't come back will contribute to HPE's unannounced layoffs.

If you fell for the "work from home forever" BS, you deserve it. They will never allow that.

Dude, that HQ building is going to be a fu----g ghost-town. Why in the world would they even open a physical office building at this point?

Company opened their HQ yesterday. Drove passed it since I work at HP nearby (and I used to work at HPE), they closed an entire street and filled it with taco trucks. I don't think Antonio is going to feel well today.

HP gave absolutely no mention of HPE yesterday. No one knew this was happening. It was just another regular day in the office. I thought HP would make a small comment about it in their weekly newsletter. Nope, not even the smallest hint.

It's funny, one of my friends from HPE was there yesterday at the grand opening of the new HQ and they told me that they were leaving the company. I said to them that I thought the opening wpuld renew company morale but I guess I was wrong.

Yep, HPE is in a heap of trouble.

And the problem is not that they're moving jobs to low paying countries it's the fact that these people have little or no experience for those jobs. I was billed as an expert and was far from that but had tons more knowledge than the person who took my job.

They are good at cheer leading and spreadsheets though...

They don't care. So long as KPI targets are hit and those lucrative bonuses pay out, those in control aren't worried. The strategy is to move as many jobs as possible offshore to third world countries where the employees will work for a fraction of those in the US to reduce costs. They have been using this strategy to hide multi-year declines in sales for years. Eventually there will be nothing left to cut but by then they will all have moved on to another company.

There is a reason HPE attracts very few young people, it's a dying company
