Inflation is 7%, and the company is making giant profits. What good is the news of record profits if we don't have significant wage increases at the same time?

Anyone else get a lousy 3%
Lol y'all are so stupid...Luke spamming this board is going to raise morale...you do realize we are still talking right? Over lunch over coffee and Bernard and Gordon etc al are the most hated execs in the history of the company. Your du----s votes here won't change that!
Yay we love Bernard Looney yaaay
I just got my pay rise letter and I can’t stop smiling :-) thank you Bernard!!!
Bernard's Bootlickers are spending a lot of time here I see...last three or four posts are full of their d*** responses. Good on you boys and girls you're making the company great, helping us achieve our aims, mitigating risk and improving morale one random internet post at a time!
Consider the analogy of a pig’s trough. The biggest pigs eat first then the smaller ones get the left overs. That’s how it is in the business world buddy.
I eat cake, and I like it!
Sorry my friend but it’s a bit hard to feel sorry for someone on a six figure salary who’s going to lose their personal allowance when there are kids going cold. Get a grip for goodness sake you earn multiples of the UK average salary. Just do one less trip to the slopes this year if you’re that worried?
Inflation at 7%, NI increase of 1.25%, no change in tax allowances and the progressive tax bands means we need at least a 10% pay rise in the UK this year to keep real pay STABLE.
Bonus factor of 1.61 is nice, but only a one off payment. If you calculate what's left after tax, (especially if you get hit by the 62% effective tax rate (2%NI, 40% tax and 20% impact of reduction of personal allowance), you can understand why one gets worried. I wouldn't call this 'complain', but understanding how high inflation really hurts!
We are just not used to this anymore after 30 years....
How can you complain when the bonus is 1.61? Seriously.
