Second day back only to find several FTS associates are still not back even though they have a cube in a go-fwd location. Others in AP have been let go for not returning yet FTS can get away with it.

Some locations you do have to badge out. More lack of trust.
RTO has been for the most part well handled in my building. The parts that have worked are the foul language I overhear on the coworkers calls and one coworker using a speakerphone a couple of rows over.
It's true. I knew one employee who refused to return to the office. They were let go with the anti vaxxers.
Maybe those employees are deciding what's best for them without leadership approval? Some of us have backbones you know. You don't have to accept what they dictate to you.
Is there any concern of an inconsistent application of the RTO/MTO mandate causing animosity among employees? Some types of favorable treatment can be hidden, but not this.
Will Frank & team ever backpedal on their "we're better together" narrative and finally permit WFH? It seems like some BUs and teams are just ignoring or purposely deciding not to enforce the mandate, because they don't want to see anymore of their staff disappear. If managers aren't enforcing a policy, then does it really exist? I guess if it makes leadership feel better, they can continue to drive home the RTO narrative, but it seems like they're slowly losing any power to make it a long-term reality.

even my boss is badging in and then leaving early. as long as you don't need to badge out, who's to say you're not there all day?
What I'm hearing is we have quite a few people working remote and those individuals are being told that they're 'good as remote for now.' It's likely that more people left than expected (those pushed out and those who left by choice), and I think they recognize now that they can't afford to lose more, and so are backing off the 'move to an office or move out' approach.
What I find interesting is that even the CTO has remote associates.
Account Processing has been working on eliminating WFH since right after the merger, even before the Frank mandate. Keith started it to suck up to Frank early on. Maybe FTS leadership attempts to actually care a bit more than Account Processing.

They said in the documentation how they are tracking you going to the office. No one is checking to see that you stay the whole day.
