Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist is such a mess

I wonder what level of incompetence it takes to take two banks (each with its own problems) and instead of using the perfect opportunity to fix what's wrong, you end up creating even more problems that result in a new bank that is worse than both of its components. That's exactly what happened here and I don't know if I want to laugh or cry.

It’s ridiculous, I waited on the phone one hour yesterday, then one hour in a branch. They have lost my business account and locked out, employees haven’t been trained correctly. Wow, corporate greed! Time to change banks. They are abuse to their managers and all employees, what a shame.

Ah, so much politicking and backstabbing. While I was there, I had to check daily to see if my Suntrust teammates had left yet another kn--e in my back. Scrw you a*holes I'm glad I left and I'm even happier about all of the money I'm making now. You can shove your stupid spreadsheets where the sun don't shine.

People are wise, it is just they are not competitive in this unbelievably hot job market (if you think this is a joke, well it is NOT) and cannot get any job that is better than what they currently have.

Believe me, you can talk to anyone at Truist and the only reason they stay is they are unable to clear interviews at better companies, thay pay a lot of $$$ because … well… they require skill and expertise and the only thing Truist folks can offer are politics and backstabbing

In defense of the teammates who remain, the merger absolutely destroyed my will to exist let alone do any actual work during my working hours at Truist. It was impossible to get anything done. I left and I'm working somewhere else now for significantly more money and less responsibility. I hope folks will wise up.

One of the major reasons why Truist is such a mess is Truist teammates - overwhelmingly clueless and incompetent people at all levels starting from IC all the way to EVP level.

MoE’s success depends on Enterprise Technology, but with the current people it is impossible. People in ET are just lazy, incompetent, not motivated and cannot wait to retire and go to the beach. This applies both to hSTI and hBBT, if one side thinks they are better than another - jokes on you, you are really merger of talent of equal “quality”

The place is falling apart. That is good. Walk out. Quit and bail. Leadership don’t care about you. Make the feeling mutual

@ztl+1fbtITTa, You're full of yourself, only the worker bees are left. I worked for SunTrust for a year and got the h*ll out. HSti's have the mentality of a rabid squirrel, run around looking busy but get nothing done. H BB&T employees work hard together and did get things done. You can give yourself all the accolades you want because in the end, everyone knows you're the one casting stones at glass houses. Stop being a bully and man up and get a life and move on.

The Harsh Truth is right of course, if you’re hBBT you are the problem, GTFO, only when hSTI people are left will the problems be fixed. This is the attitude that has created most of the problems. You can’t reason with or intelligently discuss issues and how to fix them with long term solutions because a. They are smarter than you b. It is beneath them to have a conversation with you as you are clearly inferior.
