I don't even care that I'm going to lose about 20% of my income. I've learned here that money is not the most important thing to me when it comes to work. Feeling fulfilled with my job, not feeling dread every morning due to work, and not having to work in a toxic work atmosphere all take priority for me now. I'm happy with my decision even if some might think me crazy for accepting a lower paying job.

Congrats! May be a 20% decrease, but increase in quality of life and you will probably work 50% as much, so it is really a big raise in terms of compensation per hour!!!
Congratulations. Good luck. You won't regret it.
Leadership finally getting nervous about the pending exodus, especially in technology. I wonder if a tipping point is being reached where major system issues create significant business interruptions.
Got confirmation pay increases will be delayed or may not happen at all this year due to split of company. So at least we have that going for us.
Excellent for you! Go and don't look back!
It took me years to get to this point
I put my two weeks notice in Friday
Best feeling knowing I no longer have to dread this toxic company
Moving forward with a company willing to compensate me for what I am worth
Best of luck to you
Not crazy at all. I did it a year ago for the exact same reasons. For a while I could justify staying to myself because I was paid well. The more miserable I got the harder it became to justify the choice I was making. I walked away, got a new job which paid well but not at the same level. The only regret I have is that I didn’t do it sooner.
Congratulations for getting out of this sh-t.
Your not crazy at all. I'm about to do the same
Good choice.
