Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Who will be supporting clients?

I really would love everyone’s opinion on how we will be supporting clients? In my unit alone we have lost 10 extremely knowledgeable resources over the past 8 months (8 within 3 months). We were already short staffed prior to this and supporting a very specialized platform that takes years to learn. The ones scheduled to transition out of Fiserv are the ones staying. The SME’s are the ones bouncing quickly out of here for better pay and a better life. So whether you’re for or against the company right now HOW do we plan to support clients? My team only has a couple of resources left who know anything and nothing being done to keep them around. They’ll be gone soon also.

New hires have nobody to train them either. This logically doesn’t make any sense. I’m having a hard time understanding how we will help our clients with any issue. Average time to become knowledgeable and on your own is around 2 years. But that’s with experienced people helping and answering your questions.

We all know Frank views the cores negatively and wishes they would be gone. He doesn’t understand core clients purchase several other Fiserv ancillary products. Without the core there is no reason for clients to buy Fiserv. Would you? The good news - ex-Fiserv core employees are taking over many services for clients. Clients are treated better, have happier and more knowledgeable people providing the services, too. A win-win for clients and former employees.

@klu and in the last 6 months over 7,400 employees have left the company. Voluntarily or involuntarily it’s a massive loss. Averaging 1-2k exiting employees per month since last summer. There will soon be nothing left.

Sounds like quite a quandary. But that’s an operational thing that no one cares about. Grow up and learn how the world works

Newsflash- clients so not care if you are sitting in your basement in Portland OR or a complex in NJ -- they care about results, support quality, and familiar faces.

What a stupid question.

Clients only care about you being in the office. Since you are in the office our clients will not have any other issues with Fiserv. I have been in many meetings that told me that the only thing the clients are worried about is that I am in the office. Since 'cheeks are in seats', our clients do not have anything to worry about.
