Wonder why they are doing so many surveys? Anyone see changes or improvements? What a waste of time.

Now is EXACTLY the time to be finding out what the workforce is feeling. If things were stable/good it would be far less important to survey. One cannot fix what one does not know is broken. Morale in the in trash. Attrition is the highest it has been in 3M in a great many years (at least 15 years based on my direct experience).
The problem is that 3M leadership has made clear they are not going to actually take concrete actions to make things better. Improving pay is off the table based on the latest raises... Hiring more staff to reduce workload (and stress), not betting on it. Stopping mo--nic initiatives...never, as Mr. Roman made his entire career on mo--nic initiatives that sound good on a Powerpoint slide.
At this point in time, these surveys are of little use. Maybe repeat in 6-18 mos for more stable external situation
Totally agree the results will be ignored. I led a department whose employee satisfaction scores were about 20 points higher than the rest of the division’s…so my reward for creating an environment where people felt appreciated (and where we were addressing workload concerns) was to be given a below average rating by my new boss and be replaced by a much younger sycophantic boot li---r. Great HR management there.
HCBG likely better morale than others
the results I was showed in HCBG were brutal and they excluded production staff from them which I assume were even worse
Survey was all about employee support. I think the last survey finally landed home the 'morale is a figurative dumpster fire' message to COC.
Top 5 responses I saw on the survey were all variations of: "If you want to support employees, make their workloads more manageable"
Given the quality of current leadership, I fully expect this survey to lead to another layoff and a 15 minute cheerleading video from Roman full of platitudes and upbeat music.
only what fits the narrative will be looked at in reactive way, most of the survey opinions will be overlooked as they have been , the last ten years of surveys. The HR of Mother Mining is most pathetic of any company , how do we keep getting on the World's most Ethical companies every year, oh wait, we actually pay the company doing he award hundreds of thousands of dollars to be placed in the top 40.
They didn't like the results of the previous ones.
