Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The level of self-destruction in this company is incredible.

We had a great manager. It was really great to work with him. I think we were most productive in that period while he was here. Oracle, however, was not happy such a manager. After that a new manager came who is the exact opposite of the previous one. Because of him, all the best people have already left and morale is poor. But he is still there despite everything. How do you explain that? Nothing but self-destruction. The company is destroying itself.

Self destruction starts with unhealthy behavior. What we do to others, we do to ourselves. When we genuinely care about others and what is right and good, we get back good. When we do the opposite that is what we get.

Fraudulent filing patents paralyzed Product Development. Product Development is vital to Oracles success. Product Development VP is poison to Oracle. Oracle can not survive long-term with current product development leadership. New Product Development leadership is the only hope for Oracle. Sometimes it takes a long time to find the core cause of dysfunction.

What started out, ,from reading through these posts as unacceptable employee abuse (cancer) uncovered fraudulent patents filed by Product Development VP (a malignant tumor). When a malignant tumor is extracted cancer can be treated and health can be restored. If the malignant tumor is not removed, the cancer remains and is most likely, terminal.

Today is not soon enough for Oracle to remove its malignant tumor. Once he is removed then Oracle has a chance to recover. Victims of this abusive malignant cancerous tumor need justice. Oracle can only heal by taking action to remove this tumor so, that Oracle’s health can be restored. Oracle’s legacy depends on good health.

Like it or not, the largest generation is smarter, creative and bold enough to search for core causes of truths. Oracle has the opportunity to build its legacy by colluding with this next management generation. Much can be learned by both.

The new product development VP needs to be able to bridge the new with the old. A person that cares about what the company can do for its customers, employees and not self-destructing corrupt personal greed.

Technology is changing faster than ever and there are many incredible opportunities available. Oracle has the resources to lead in this new era with the right healthy leader.
It’s better to deal with things pertaining to our own health than, for it to escalate to the authorities. The cancerous tumor is real. It is not going away and neither are the victims.
Self-destruction can be stopped with healthy behavior.

It is extremely difficult to understand the level of self-destruction. Many voices need to be heard. Many people + saying the same = truth.
Oracle is not company that it once was. Many invested long ago and are now stuck with current management and losing money, daily.
Things can be fixed. The right people have to get involved and push the Board of Directors to reach, LE. Oracle is his legacy. Nobody wants Oracle to fail. Adjustments need to be made.
LE's inner circle needs to clean house in management not with non mgmt employees. Product not working is the first place to start as well as, bully's.

Get out asap. Was hesitant to leave after 5 years but have never been happier since. The majority of management left are either unqualified internal hires or people running from their failures at similar companies.

Additionally I know no large corporation is completely transparent with their plans for the new FY, but it’s almost like oracle takes pride in keeping its employees 100% in the dark

Disgusting place to work. Get out of Orahole now! Guaranteed you are being cheated.

Managers band together to COMPACT their lies to do the most damage. Every manager I was working with was cheating me. Seems like an endless number of sc-m-bags. I can see them now scurrying around, 90 over here, 63 over there, 91 here and another 6 hiding in whatever dark ho-e they can find. They are everywhere!

Disgusting! Get out of Orahole now!

It is sad and unfortunate, that the "management" at Oracle was trained by the best from India, how to bully, abuse and emotional distress subordinates.
They believe they are doing the right thing. This is due to the training available within Oracle for management, there is none.
they couldn't develop a paper bag.

Oracle is a horrible place to work. Get out if you are there! Don't interview with them, if you are not!

Keeping your job at Oracle (especially as a manager) is a Faustian bargain, to say the least. It was true 4 years ago, it is probably 16x true today. Speak up, even if you are right and you put a target on your back. Maybe even your entire org. The acting VP was was nasty and vindictive as they come, cut the entire org of a senior director who dare speak up about some thing. Think about it, the entire org. I was one of them cut.

You are right. The best managers are gone.

The ones that are left, have no idea what they are doing. They harass employees and kiss-a-s up the management chain.

You can't even have a conversation with them. They are ego-obsessed weirdos.

Get out of Oracle. There is nothing there for you. You need to leave, you really do.
