All our manager does is make promises all the time. None of the promises ever come true. Every time I hear a new promise I feel annoyed because I know these are just empty words that only naive people can believe and thus decide to stay here for a while longer. This has become a company of empty promises, unfortunately.

What kinds of promises? I don't know that managers have the power people think they do, so I'm not sure how they would promise anything. 🤔
What specific promises are you referring to? You’re not alone with the empty promises. With my manager in particular, I keep expressing to him that I’m stretched thin, I’m burnt out, and that I have a lot on my plate, and he keeps saying that he will lesson the work load for me— but then he keeps assigning me more projects. I don’t ever have a moment to just catch my breath, and I don’t have a work life balance at all.
