It really creeps me out when all counter firms that I interact with at work all appears on my where my searchers work at on LinkedIn.... what are they trying to do to me ? :(

I mean let’s face it, your coworkers at your own firm searched and stalked you too...
Linkedin is for cubicle dwellers. No one with any sway is perusing Linkedin for anything,
So are you saying the main difference is the name of the bank that signs your check?
I routinely search for everyone I deal with in doing my job, just as a matter of curiosity. I often find common ground, whether that be in skills, mutual friends or organizations, or maybe we even worked for the same company but at different times. I see people searching me up, too. It's pretty normal.
