If you need a mentor to figure out your career goals, then maybe you should just quit right now.
Mentor "What are your career goals?"
Mentee "To make money so I can pay off my mortgage and buy stuff."
Keep your CV up-to-date, and continually search outside of IBM for better job opportunities!
Never trust HR Their job is to protect the company period.
